The docks are teeming with stevedores and seamen of a wide and disgusting diversity: there are men, certainly, but there are also Orcs and even some Ogres – and one small crew of things which might once have been men, but now... you shudder and look away.

One group of drunken sea-dogs is brawling and cursing, and out of the corner of your eye you notice a figure in a small passageway behind one wharf handing a package to a hunchbacked Dwarf and taking a purse in return. It must be money –why, the brown-robed figure is even counting the coins, and you can see the glint of gold in the sunshine! The Dwarf vanishes down the alley.

You could try sidling over and having a go at stealing the gold (turn to 80); or do you prefer to ignore the robed figure and continue looking around (turn to 70)?

Los muelles están repletos de estibadores y marineros de una amplia y desagradable diversidad: sin duda hay hombres, pero también hay Orcos e incluso algunos Ogros... y una pequeña tripulación de seres que en otro tiempo podrían haber sido hombres, pero que ahora... te estremeces y apartas la mirada.

Mientras un grupo de marineros borrachos se pelea y maldice, con el rabillo del ojo observas una figura en un pequeño callejón detrás de un muelle que entrega un paquete a un Enano jorobado y recibe a cambio una bolsa. Debe tratarse de dinero, pues la figura con la túnica marrón está contando las monedas y puedes ver el brillo del oro a la luz del sol. El Enano desaparece por el callejón.

¿Tratarás de acercarte e intentar robarle el oro (pasa al 80) o prefieres ignorar a la figura de la túnica y continuar mirando a tu alrededor (pasa al 70)?

You round the corner of a small warehouse and bump right into –Captain Shagrot! There’s no mistaking the eyepatch, the wooden leg or the scimitar in those gnarled, shovel-like hands. “Thought you’d escape, did yer?” he snarls in fury, drawing his scimitar. Shagrot’s crew members are beginning to form a circle round you! You can either fight (turn to 93) or try to make a run for it (turn to 385).

Doblas la esquina de un pequeño almacén y te tropiezas con el Capitán Shagrot. Es imposible confundir el parche en el ojo, la pata de palo o la cimitarra en esas manos torcidas como palas. “Creías que te ibas a escapar, ¿verdad?”, gruñe furioso, desenvainando su cimitarra. Los miembros de la tripulación de Shagrot empiezan a formar un círculo a tu alrededor. Puedes luchar (pasa al 93) o intentar huir (pasa al 385).
